Hello & welcome to my blog! I’m Rachel and I’m so glad that you stopped by!
Besides my name, there are some other things you might want to know about me.
I was born and raised in Kentucky.
I graduated in 2011 from The University of Kentucky.
I bleed blue, especially during March. UK’s men’s basketball team is my favorite!
I was in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend, Joe, who I met at Walt Disney World.
We were both participating in the Walt Disney World College Program and worked at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. May 28, 2012 is the day we started dating and the date behind my blog title. In August 2016, our long distance relationship ended when I moved to Texas to finally be with him!
He’s my best friend and I’ll talk about him quite a bit on this blog.
“You worked at Walt Disney World? Did you love it?!”
Yes, I worked at Walt Disney World and yes, I loved it! I completed the 2012 Spring Advantage program as a Merchandise cast member at Disney’s Polynesian Resort!
Dole whips, hula contests, Seven Seas Survivor, Florida Mall H&M trips, random adventures, One More Disney Day, collecting/trading pins, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Siesta Key’s beach, character meet & greets, my leaders/coordinators, my CP friends, and my Polynesian ‘Ohana are some of my favorite memories from working at Disney. Obviously it’s hard to pick one favorite!
I went back to work for Walt Disney World again as a Vacation Planner at EPCOT. I sold tickets there for two years and worked with some amazing people.
What other things do I love?
Traveling, Cooking, learning how to live a healthier lifestyle, RunDisney races, fashion(although I’m not a fashion blogger), college sports, and enjoying life.
Grey’s Anatomy, Boy Meets World, Friends and Gilmore Girls are my favorite shows.
Nashville and Chicago are two of my favorite cities.
H&M, Express, Target, Altar’d State and Loft are my favorite places to shop.
Sweet tea is my non-alcoholic drink of choice, but if there’s alcohol involved give me a margarita on the rocks, a Red Stag Lemonade, or a Blue Moon with an orange.
Most importantly though, I am a Christian and I try to improve my relationship with Jesus daily. I know that any blessings, disappointments, struggles, or happiness is because of God and everything in my life is part of His plan.
I could write more, but I’ll let you read my blog to find out more about my life. Basically, little things make me happy and I hope that you will join me as I make this journey through life.
Thanks again for stopping by!
