Happy Wednesday everyone! We are almost to Easter Weekend. Today I thought I’d write a post on why I decided to start blogging again. My blog has progressed over the years and it’s hard to believe that if I had kept up with this blog consistently, I would have been blogging for 7 years! Yes, if you go back to the beginning when I was documenting about wanting to participate in the Disney College Program until now it has been that long.
Fun fact: I don’t really like to read books or write.
However, I love reading lifestyle/fitness/fashion/food blogs. My 5 favorite bloggers inspire me to want to blog myself, stay active, eat healthier, be HAPPY no matter what life throws your way and love those who are most important to me. My parents and boyfriend inspire me also.
Blogging allows me to see how I’ve grown as an individual.
When I was completing my Disney College Program, I saw these women with their half marathon medals and I thought, why not me? I started reading “real” running/lifestyle blogs and became inspired to try it myself. I love blogging because I went from this post of wanting to run the RunDisney Princess Half Marathon to actually completing it in February 2017(Part 1 and Part 2)! Bucket list item: check!
Blogging allows me to document memories.
When I went back in the archives, I found posts that brought me back to that point of my life. There was a post about my year anniversary with my boyfriend, my birthday celebrations, a trip recap to Hilton Head Island and even a post when the Boston Marathon bombings happened. It’s nice to have an internet scrapbook of memories that I can flip through and revisit.
Blogging allows me to connect with other people.
When you read posts like this of why people started blogging, often times they will mention the sense of community. I haven’t blogged consistent enough to really have a set of followers that have been with me since the beginning but I do have blogs that I’ve followed for years. It’s nice to see what other people are going through in life and inspire each other. One of my goals with restarting my blog is to build relationships with people in other locations. I am active on social media so if you haven’t followed me yet, you can follow this blog and connect with me on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook! Let’s be friends!!
So there you have it, three reasons why I started blogging again. What about you?
Do you have a blog? If so, what’s the link?
Why do you blog?
If you don’t have a blog, would you ever start one?
I hope you all have a great Wednesday!
