I’m currently sitting at the airport while I type up this post! We are headed home to Kentucky this weekend for my birthday celebration with my family and Easter!! Even though I had to work on my birthday, it was still a great day!
When I woke up at 8:00 AM, I was greeted by my boyfriend bringing me breakfast in bed. He made bacon and eggs which was such a sweet thought and a yummy start to my day! He also brought me coffee which was perfect! After breakfast, I got ready and left for work!
My team members at work decorated my desk with birthday decorations and even brought some of my favorites for our lunch spread. We had a nacho bar with beef, queso, chips, salad, salsa, black beans, and sour cream. They also brought me a red velvet cake which is one of my favorites! We weren’t that busy throughout the day and soon it was time to go home!
Once I arrived home, I straightened my hair after wearing it up all day and put on jeans so we could go out to dinner. I chose to go to Benihana so we made a reservation for 7:30. When we were sat at the table, it was us and one other couple on the other end of the table. Joe and I were thoroughly entertained because at the other end there was this older gentleman donning a nice cowboy hat with his wife. It was an official “welcome to Texas” moment. I am not bringing this up to be judgmental in ANY way, but I think they were entertained by us too. At one point during the end of the meal the man even asked how old we were. We told him our ages and while he guessed my boyfriend’s age right, he thought I was 6 years younger than I am! Thanks sir, but I’m not that young! We left the restaurant and took some fun pictures by the fountain.
Once we got home, we relaxed and watched tv which was a great ending to the day. Joe also made a funfetti cake for my birthday, but we were too full from dinner to have another slice! We went to bed after having a great day! I can’t believe I’m in my last year before the big 3-0 but I’m so excited to see what this year will bring! It’s off to a great start and I’m excited to see my family for Easter this weekend. Here’s to safe travels!!
